Shootalong in the Hills: A Creative Day of Connection & Collaboration

Saturday 6th September, 12–9PM

Lickey Hills, Worcestershire

*Limited to 6 spaces

Imagine stepping away from the hustle of client work and deadlines for a day.

No pressure, no competition. Just cameras, creativity, and community.

This isn’t just another styled shoot. It’s a shootalong: a hands-on, collaborative experience designed for photographers who want to grow, connect, and be inspired by each other’s process.

We’ll gather in the beautiful, heather-covered landscapes of Lickey Hills. It’s diverse, spacious, and full of late-summer magic. Think wild textures, golden light, and plenty of room to explore.

Two children playing and laughing together outdoors in a field at sunset, with one giving a piggyback ride to the other.
A joyful family wearing coordinated neutral outfits poses together outdoors on a hilltop during autumn.

The day begins with lunch at the Barnt Green Inn where we’ll connect over food and set the tone for the afternoon ahead.

From there, we’ll co-create three styled model sessions:

 Solo or Couples Maternity

 Motherhood Connection

 Family Storytelling

We will work in pairs to co-lead one of these sessions. You’ll guide the shoot while others observe, capture behind-the-scenes moments, and take a few portfolio shots. As a thank-you to our models, co-leads will deliver a full gallery of images after the event. There is no necessary amount of years you have been in business to attend this shootalong but you need to feel confident leading your session so you should be at the point in business where you are taking on paid clients.

Each shoot will be fully styled by us as a collective group with moodboards provided ahead of time so we are prepared and inspired.

This is a space where learning flows both ways. You’ll watch how others direct, connect, and create and walk away with new insight into your own process.

We’re keeping this intimate with just 6 photographers to make space for real conversations, honest feedback, and meaningful connections.

Here’s what the day will look like:

11:30–1PM: Early Lunch at Barnt Green Inn

 1:30–2:30PM: Location Scout

 3–7PM: 3 Styled Model Sessions (with breaks in between 3-4pm, 4.30-5.30pm, 6-7pm)

7–9PM: Wind down, chat, and soak up the last light

*You’ll need to arrange your own travel to and from the location. In case of poor weather, we’ll aim to reschedule for Sunday 7th September or decide together on next steps.
