Just 30 minutes from Cheltenham, tucked away in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, there’s a peaceful haven I return to again and again: the lake.
It’s calm, quiet, and absolutely full of light. A place where you can slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and simply be present with your family.
It’s not just a pretty location. It’s one of my favourite places to hold family sessions. And once you see the images we create here, you’ll understand why.

A Little Adventure to Begin
To reach the lake, we take a short, flat 10-minute walk along a buggy-accessible path. It’s the kind of simple journey that sets the tone—gentle, unrushed, and full of anticipation.
Reeds and wild grasses line the water’s edge. They add a natural texture that’s impossible to recreate anywhere else, giving your photos that wild, unspoiled beauty.

Why We Shoot at Golden Hour
Because the lake is so open to the sky, it fills with light in the most magical way. That’s why I schedule these sessions during the final 90 minutes of daylight, the golden hour.
At this time, the sun doesn’t glare down. Instead, it wraps around you, soft and glowing. It’s warm, flattering, and full of feeling. And yes, you’ll see all of that in the photos.

Space to Be Yourselves
There’s room to move, to play, to breathe. Whether your kids want to explore or just cuddle up in your arms, there’s no pressure here.
It’s not about posing, it’s about connection. And this setting brings it out in the most natural, effortless way.
